Our Mission

‘To empower this and future generations of the children of Iga, to write their own futures and create their own opportunities, by providing them with a place to gain knowledge and explore possibilities limited only by imagination and ambition’

Our goal is to begin by building facilities that will cater for about 400 children, equipping them with books and media through partnerships already established with American school districts, which we are continuing to expand, establishing relationships with like-minded organizations and corporations, as well as donations.

The key factor for the library is to make it self-sustaining; this we will achieve by creating an income-generating trust fund, for staff salaries, equipment and building maintenance and continued investment in books and multi-media. Over an 18-month period, we hope to expand the facilities to accommodate up to 4000 children, catering not only for the children of Iga, but all of the surrounding areas, providing free bus service to and from the facility.

It takes one person, with the will to succeed, to bring about a revolution.
