The project began as a library, and indeed the library remains the central theme. In drawing up the plans however, we began to see that more could be done for the community; and so it has morphed into a library, a community centre and children’s corner. The plans are modular, with each site designed as a pentagon, so that it can be expanded in any direction, while staying true to the core of the buildings, which is the library.
